The jeans trend of 2023 inspired us to introduce a new color in the Cottona linen collection; denim blue. This blue tablecloth is beautiful in a trendy interior. Denim blue combines beautifully with black, (cream) white and shades of gray, but this color also looks great with soft pastel colors. Continue reading
Everyone is familiar with the trend, using natural materials within our home interior. In our last blog post ‘Maison et object’ we wrote about using this trend for table decoration. We highlighted the attention to handwork and the desire to surround ourselves with pure materials from nature and the countryside. However, whats new is the frequent use of leather! Not just the usual leather sofa or chair. For instance, take a look at Arte with a beautiful wallpaper made of leather in the collection. Then this leather patchwork rug it’s a real eye catcher. JP Walker even makes leather kitchens, creating a very exclusive, trendy look with a soft touch.
Cottona has been around already for a good 10 years. From day one we have been making table linen from cotton and from linen, beautiful natural materials that will always have the lead role in our collection. In recent year, we have had many enquiries and demand for a good quality polyester tablecloth, due to the great practical properties. Polyester lasts a long time, its easy to iron and it is resistant to sunlight. Continue reading
Outdoor materials are different compared to cotton or linen, I see often, by home decoration advise on TV, in magazines or online, the most beautiful linen tablecloths on the garden table.
I only ask myself, what do these tablecloths look like after a hot sunny summer? Sunlight and linen or cotton materials are not a good combination. Cotton and linen bleach and fade quickly in the sun. This is why, since the start of Cottona, we have had a good quality outdoor collection, for your garden table, that can withstand the European summers.
With the holidays just around the corner, a beautifully set table is a surefire way to create ambience at home. It all begins with a beautiful custom tablecloth. To mark the festive season, we have expanded our damask collection this autumn with two new damask designs: Modern and Floral.
You have a large round, oval or rectangular dining table but can’t seem to find a nice large tablecloth anywhere? Does that sound familiar? This hassle was at the heart of what led to the launch of Cottona in 2009. Cottona was born from their own personal needs (and that notion is something that more people will undoubtedly have) and a passion for fabrics and table textiles. Since then, tables are being set all over the world with (large) Cottona tablecloths. In both the consumer and the business markets.
Have you noticed the stripes trend yet? Striped pants, dress, shirt, cushion, plaid and garden tablecloth already in your collection? Cottona has expanded its assortment of outdoor tablecloths with four beautiful and timeless striped designs from the Basque Country. Just like damask, the Basque stripe is a classic.
We believe that every table deserves a tailor-made tablecloth, and with the holidays just round the corner, it’s time to see what is left in your linen cupboard. We also think that a pair of beautiful tablecloths are essential for your linen collection. At Cottona you can order all sizes and shapes online. You can choose from 6 types of fabric and 60 colors that you can mix and match with each other.
(Drum roll) Our linen collection has a beautiful new colour. We are happy to introduce our ‘old rose powdered ribbon’. You may not think it, but old-pink is a colour that you can combine with everything. It is super versatile and practical, because of the beautifully woven linen fabric. Continue reading
Linen is the classic table linen material. I have written before about my personal preference for this fabric. I love all fabrics, but if I had to choose one, it would be linen. Table linen is easy to care for. Let it dry outside and, as far as I’m concerned, spread it on the table without ironing. Table linens from Cottona come in two qualities: natural linen and hotel-quality linen. Continue reading
