Table decoration trend: Leather!

Everyone is familiar with the trend, using natural materials within our home interior. In our last blog post ‘Maison et object’ we wrote about using this trend for table decoration. We highlighted the attention to handwork and the desire to surround ourselves with pure materials from nature and the countryside. However, whats new is the frequent use of leather! Not just the usual leather sofa or chair. For instance, take a look at Arte with a beautiful wallpaper made of leather in the collection. Then this leather patchwork rug it’s a real eye catcher. Garden tablecloth

Colour on the garden table – Garden tablecloth with UVprotected material.

Outdoor materials are different compared to cotton or linen, I see often, by home decoration advise on TV, in magazines or online, the most beautiful linen tablecloths on the garden table.
I only ask myself, what do these tablecloths look like after a hot sunny summer? Sunlight and linen or cotton materials are not a good combination. Cotton and linen bleach and fade quickly in the sun. This is why, since the start of Cottona, we have had a good quality outdoor collection, for your garden table, that can withstand the European summers.

Spring festival with a Terracotta tablecloth

In the Netherlands a spring festival is still relatively unknown, but our southern neighbors are big fans of it, as are we. This spring we are covering the spring table with a Terracotta tablecloth. The spring festival is a celebration for children between the ages of 6 and 12. It is used as a substitute for the communion. An intimate party, a party with meaning and a moment of reflection.
