Christmas table 2017 – A winter trip from Tuscany to the Scottish Highlands

With the holidays ahead, I am already eager to make the house Christmas-proof. You will not be surprised to hear that my highlight is the styling of the Christmas table ; ) At Cottona, we present five Christmas table styles every year. A lovely long table, this colour is simple and pure. Covered with matching materials. Beautiful linen, old breadboards, an earthenware service, antique silver and glassware. Dishes of Organic products, served with the best Italian wines – I like to add.

Swiss valleycottona-christmastable2017-swissvalleyRobust Swiss with a chic touch. For a festive touch, you can cover the table with a glittery golden tablecloth. Drape large green napkins. Pine twigs, coasters of birch wood and wooden napkin rings complete this winter table.

Scandinavian fjord

The vintage blue cotton tablecloth is the eyecatcher. Combine this cool base colour with napkins in a warm brown shade. A subtle twig with red berries for the finishing touch.

Combine greyed winter shades with warm creamy white. For this pastel style, use a classic creamy white damask tablecloth. Dress the table with matching pastel shades, silver napkin rings and lots of Christmas lights.

Get the red and gold Christmas balls down from the attic for this traditional Christmas table, with lots of glamour and shine. A crackling fire and a nice glass of whiskey should not be missed with this festive style.
